Recent Jewellery & Metal Design graduate, Zoe Davidson, is based on the mainland of Orkney. She produces bespoke wearable sculptures aimed to capture the sensual qualities and flowing shapes inspired by her fond memories of being around the sea.

 

Brought up in Brunei Darussalam, Zoe spent her free time scuba diving with her family. These experiences have inspired her greatly due to the amazing diversity of colour, features and sensations that the sea creatures possess. Through flowing surfaces and striking metal forms, Zoe expresses her love for the ocean and its bizarre creatures that live within, by producing flamboyant wearable jewellery.

 

Zoe has had the opportunity to meet and work with established artists such as Haute Couture/Fashion Designer, Iris Van Herpen (internship), and Body Architect, Lucy McRae (meet). Seeing these artists at work have inspired Zoe greatly, giving her the push of confidence needed to start her own.

 

In all, Zoe shares with you, the unfamiliar forms, not seen in everyday life and transforms them into high-end wearable pieces. Thus, Bringing a quiet underwater world up to a bustling urban high-street.
